The Soldiers of the Flag
Marching through the fields and hills
Drums and trumpets leading them
With drawn swords and guns all aimed
Shouting out a marching song
Now they stop,now they trot
Thus they advance to the battle front
Brave as they are , yet afraid
But they bow to no fears
Armies now to clash and swords to meet
Some that are, to be no more again
And many strong men maimed for life
Fight they must, and fight they do
Victory or defeat God decides
In this cauldron of a battle feild
Painted red and a rain of tears
Those that are , are never near
Their dreams and hopes
Have kept safe at home
Amidst the chattering of guns
And sharp caress of swords
Their tired bodies strive
Strive against a thousand odds
To comeback home someday safe
Comeback to see that welcome smile
On those lips which once bade
'Come back soon'
When they set out to war
"For every hero,a nation gains
His loved ones will only feel the loss
How burdened with war and death, the little men
For one flag to flutter
High and lightly in the breeze.
Drums and trumpets leading them
With drawn swords and guns all aimed
Shouting out a marching song
Now they stop,now they trot
Thus they advance to the battle front
Brave as they are , yet afraid
But they bow to no fears
Armies now to clash and swords to meet
Some that are, to be no more again
And many strong men maimed for life
Fight they must, and fight they do
Victory or defeat God decides
In this cauldron of a battle feild
Painted red and a rain of tears
Those that are , are never near
Their dreams and hopes
Have kept safe at home
Amidst the chattering of guns
And sharp caress of swords
Their tired bodies strive
Strive against a thousand odds
To comeback home someday safe
Comeback to see that welcome smile
On those lips which once bade
'Come back soon'
When they set out to war
"For every hero,a nation gains
His loved ones will only feel the loss
How burdened with war and death, the little men
For one flag to flutter
High and lightly in the breeze.
